Yes, and by six people whose names are on the about page. Nothing is bought in and relabelled. The only machines involved are a wheel, a loom, a kiln and a screen press, all of which need somebody standing at them.

For lettering, always — that is what the personalized pieces are. For a one-off in clay, wood or cloth, write to us with what you have in mind and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we can make well.

Anything in stock leaves within two working days. Personalized work takes ten, because the lettering is drawn rather than set and we send you a proof before framing it.

We ship worldwide. Duties and import taxes are the buyer's to pay and are not included at checkout — for most destinations they are small, but they are not nothing.

Within fourteen days, unused and in its original packaging. Personalized pieces are the exception: once your name is lettered onto something there is nobody else to sell it to.

Every piece ships with a card that says what it is made of and what it wants. The short version: cool water on textiles, no direct sun on paper, and no boiling water into a cold pot.

Where we can choose, yes: undyed organic cotton, reclaimed ash, local stoneware, rapeseed wax. Where we cannot honestly claim it, we say so on the product page rather than leaving it vague.

Email is read every weekday morning and answered the same day. The studio phone is answered when somebody is not at the wheel, which is less reliable.
